Today, our staff attended a seminar on Expatriate Management Procedures organised by the Labuan Immigration Recreation Club. The seminar featured a speaker from Labuan Immigration and an invited speaker from Labuan FSA. The event is scheduled to last until 2 PM.
Labuan FSA communicated that their client charter for processing applications is within 21 working days. If there are no issues, they will issue a Recommendation Letter. However, if there are issues, they may reject or return the application, request additional documentation, or address incomplete documentation. Labuan FSA also reminded that applicants from high-risk jurisdictions, as listed by the Financial Action Task Force, and other countries as specified by Labuan FSA, may be required to attend an interview session conducted by the Authority. Additionally, work permit renewals must be submitted to Labuan FSA at least three months before the work permit expires.
